On Stupid Excuses for "Giving Up Cats"

I've long since come to the conclusion that people who do such awful things to animals, rationalize it by thinking of pets as "things". Now, you and I and everyone on this board realizes that cats (and dogs, and hamsters and gerbils, and birds, and horses, and any companion animals--or even wild animals) are living, feeling, thinking beings, who need our compassion and nurture and care. The only comfort there is comes from knowing that, one of these days, every one of those humans who so grievously abuses animals, must stand before the Judgement Seat and answer to the One who accepts NO excuses.
