Cat Translation Tool?

Wednesday July 23, 2003
A Japanese company has had such success with their "dog translation device," that they are developing one for cats, the Meowlingual, which will translate typical feline meows and purrs into human words. Although the (somewhat pricey at US$74) device will initially only be sold in Japan, Bowlingual (the dog translator) will be available in the U.S. in August, according to the article in CNN.com. We humans and our resident cats in the U.S. will just have to hold our breath (and chat, it is presumed), while waiting for the availability of Meowlingual here.

Personally, I've been able to clearly translate Bubba's instructions to me! To quote him, "We don't need no stinkin' translator!"
