Experts Disagree on White Tiger Attack
Tuesday October 14, 2003
While Roy Horn remains in critical condition from bite wounds to the neck by Montecore, one of the famed Royal White Tigers in the Siegfried and Roy illusionist act, experts disagree with Siegfried Fischbacher's assessment that the attack was really an act of protecting his partner, Roy. According to NBC5.com News, experts say the attack was "predatory."
The Siegfried and Roy show has been closed by the Mirage Hotel, and over 200 employees of the show told to find work elsewhere, although one account says that executives of the Mirage have promised to help them find jobs. Montecore is supposed to be released from quarantine (for rabies study) today, and will apparently be returned to the Mirage's multi-million dollar White Tiger Habitat, at least for the near future.
While thousands of fans pray for Roy Horn's complete recovery, thousands more join Siegfried in his devout hopes that the show will go on. The questions that remain are "how?" and "when?"
