Cat Picture of the Week: Squeak - from Feral to Fabulous!
Saturday October 15, 2005
"Squeak was trapped as a tiny kitten from a feral colony. It took many months of taming to make her the mushcat that she is today. HostKel and her husband were able to adopt her out to HostKel's mom Lori. She lives with three other rescued cats in the lap of luxury now."- Kelly (HostKel)
Note from Franny:
I selected this photo to promote Feral Cat Day, and to honor the selfless, hard-working people who practice TNR, and rescue those cats that are adoptable. Many of them, like Kelly, either keep them as family members or find loving, forever homes for these formal ferals.
We'll soon have a new picture gallery for cat rescuers to show off their own "Feral to Fabulous" success stories. If you are interested in participating, please drop me an email with photos, using the Photo Submittal Guidelines.
When sending more than one picture, try to keep the total file size less than 1 mb and include a separate story for each cat. Let's honor ferals and the people who rescue them!
