Tortoiseshell Cats Picture of the Day: Sonsy
Monday November 14, 2005
In honor of these most colorful cats, I will feature a new picture of a tortoiseshell cat several times a week throughout the remainder of November."This precious tortie was found three years ago with eight littermates wandering a rural road. All were emaciated with burned paw pads from the hot highway. I chose this one because of her cute, orange-dappled left ear. I named her Sonsy, a Scottish word for health and robustness, a name she could-and has-grown into. She's funny, curious beyond belief, soft as velvet and is this love of my life."
