Cat of the Week: Norton
Saturday May 20, 2006
Norton was a very scared cat at first, he arrived in the winter of 2002, he was fed on the porch and we decided to trap him and bring him in also. He was easily trapped but when he was let out of the trap he jumped off all four walls in the bedroom and landed on top of a bookcase, we could see this wasn't going to work out and opened the window and let him go. He ran so fast across the field in the snow you would wonder what it was. Norton continued to show up every day for food but if he saw anyone would run away and only come back if no one was outside...Read more of Norton's Story- Photo © Rene
Cats Pictures of the Week are selected from general photo submittals for other albums (Norton's was sent in for the May Tuxedo Cats Gallery). You may send your own great cat photo, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page, and I may consider it for this honor. Be sure to write a paragraph or so about the cat, at least two or three sentences. Our galleries have space for 2500 characters, including spaces, so don't be afraid to tell us about your cat!

What was this cat picked for cat of the week
Hi Courtney,
I guess you’re asking *why* was this cat picked?
- He’s a tuxedo, which is featured on my site for May.
- I liked the picture
- I liked his story very much. A lot more compelling than the frequent, “This is a picture of my cat, Whatever.” My readers can clearly see that it is a picture of a cat. What they like to see is some “meat” behind the story of the picture.
He is a lucky cat indeed and so are you
