Top 10 Summertime Tips for Cats

With the thermometer at 113° yesterday in our little town, and more heat due this week, it seemed timely to share these tips. We've also made our own contingency plans in case of a power outage, including:
  • Packing up the cats and moving into a local pet-friendly motel with A/C
  • Boarding them at our veterinary clinic
  • If all else fails, putting them in carriers and driving them around in our car until the power returns
Cats do not get a vacation from the dog days of summer, and they need your help to keep summertime annoyances at a minimum. Learn how to keep your kitty comfortable, cool and safe during the year's hottest season in the northern hemisphere with these tips for summertime comfort for cats.

I’m living in Israe and it is pretty hot in here especially in summer. Barsik is an indoor-only kitty. So, I’ve made him a container garden on the balcony with all the plants he likes, and a little fountan. He spends there all the day.
