Cat-Friendly Resolutions for a New Year
Wednesday December 27, 2006
Since they are such an important part of my life, my cats are the focal point of my plans for the New Year. Their health, happiness, and well-being is always foremost in my mind, as it should be, but I need to practice time management in order to give more time to my cats, while at the same time not neglecting my work.Share your own cat-friendly resolutions in the comments section.

I couldn’t have said it better myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My cat-friendly resolution is to get my cat on a feeding schedule he can expect. He’s always begging for food throughout the day and I don’t want him to overeat. If any fellow cat lovers want to see people who truly center their lives around their cats go to *** My cat became an internet celebrity and your’s can too! Happy New Year everyone!
Clever way of plugging another cat site, Nemokitty and the pictures are cute. If they hadn’t been begging for money donations to keep their site going, I’d be tempted to leave the link. However…:(
Cat-friendly? Maybe clear out my room, it’s very unorganized, and my cat could choke on lots of things. I have a lot of my Scrapbook stuff there, since I work at a scrapbooking place I work on my scrapbooks at home.
Also, hide the cords to my computer!
I need to take more time out to play with my cats. They chase one another around the apartment, but I know that they love when we play together. Aside from that, they both receive LOTS of love and attention.
I would also like to do more to help support shelters and organizations for homeless kitties.

my resolution is to make a first aid kit for emergencys or a natural disaster for my cats and for us. Also to do something to help the many stray cats around this town. Can anyone help me with some ideas?
My resolution is to investigate finding a new vet for my two cats this year. My vet, although not a bad doctor, does not offer any emergency after-hour services, and we live 45 minutes away from the nearest emergency vet. There is one other vet in our town who takes emergency calls, so I am going to give him a try. Unfortunately we lost a cat to heart disease earlier last year, and it has made me much more aware of being prepared for feline emergencies.
My resolution is also to make more time for my “babies”. Even though there are enough of them that they don’t get lonely, they tell me they adore me and miss me when I am gone. Also - to research better ways to care for them and to become more involved in the Texas State Humane Legislative Network for the good of all animals.
I’d like to find a window cling or card to hang in our window(s) to alert in case of fire, to rescue our cats. Anyone know where to find?
