Book Review by Terri Mauro, Guide to Special Parenting Needs.

Terri Mauro, who is an expert on Asperger Syndrome, as well as other special children, prefaces her review with,

This looks like one of those cute gift books, but it's got a serious purpose: to provide a description of Asperger syndrome behaviors in the context of a creature for whom independence and aloofness is a point of pride. It's a clever, charming package.

I just bought this book, myself – I too thought it was just going to be a ‘cutsie’ book, but was thouroughly impressed by it’s simple, intelligent message.
Our son is 10 and diagnosed with AS 2 years ago; he just read it and kept saying, ‘Yep – that’s me alright!’
I look forward to sharing this book with his teachers and classmates. Brava to the author for her insight!
