"Chitter-Chatter" Cat Video

Friday February 2, 2007
Enjoy this You Tube video of two Bengal Cats "chitter-chattering" at a bird outside their window. Although Bengals are an exotic breed, ALL cats are similarly fascinated by birds.

Ever watch your own cat zeroing in on a bird he sees through the window? Suddenly there's a great deal of clicking of teeth, sometimes combined with an ack-ack gutteral noise that you've never before heard your cat make. This behavior is called "chattering" and it even has the experts stumped. Perhaps it's nothing but frustration, as the cat obviously would like to make a meal of the bird. Sometimes they actually salivate while carrying on, so this explanation could be a good guess. You'll find more information here about What Makes Cats Work.

That was really cute, and the most amazing thing is that the cats were actually chitter-chattering like a bird… If u dont see the video and just listen to it, then u would think that two birds were chattering away…a rare sight indeed.
