More of my Top Picks of Cat and Kitten Foods

Bringing up from a buried blog comment:
I am so sorry about your troubles with your cat. Since so many other posters are asking what they can feed their cats, I've completely updated my lists of top picks for cat foods. They are: NONE of these products contain wheat gluten, the tainted ingredient named in the recalled foods.
In addition, I've posted a larger list of dry cat foods that do not contain wheat gluten (including grocery store foods that are not among my own choices).

Franny, I see Blue Spa has fallen off your list of top dry foods. Any particular reason?
I just saw a news article on CNN about testing being done for this recall. In it they showed a Friskies pouch product being tested in this lab in Calif. Now this is confusing. By seeing this snippet, I hope that they are testing all pouch cut styles from all brands to eleminate any others. But without a statement that that was what they were doing, it leads me to believe that any Purina product might be unsafe. Have you heard anything about Purina Friskies pouch products?

Hi E! Only because my cats carefully ate everything but the little blue "Life Source Bits," where all the special nutrients were contained.
You can see my review here.
Hi Janet,
Nothing specific yet, but you may be correct that they’re testing all pouch products for the safety factor.
Interestingly enough, I don’t see pouch foods listed anywhere on the Friskie’s site. They have canned foods (no wheat gluten that I can see) and treats (many of which contain wheat gluten), but no pouch food. Wonder what’s with that?

Ahhh…. Mine love those. One of the reasons we like this food at the Vowels is that the pieces are smaller than many other foods. The vowels don’t really like big kibble, especially little U with her tiny mouth.
i changed to blue buffalo a few months ago are my cats in danger?
