2008 Tuxedo Cats Picture Gallery

Black and White Cats Featured for our May, 2008 Cats Picture Calendar

Black and white cats are like snowflakes: you'll never see any two with identical markings, but Tuxedos usually have some form of a white "V" on the chest-- very formal and striking. Our May Cats Picture Calendar is dedicated to Tuxedo cats and other black-and-white cats because... well, just because. Maybe for the Spring Prom tuxedos, although I'm sure my readers can figure out some better justifications.

Enjoy these pictures of striking tuxedo cats and please feel free to submit your own. You must follow the Photo Submittal Guidelines, and please use "Tuxedo Cat" as the subject of your email. Suzy Q, the lovely tuxie girl pictured here is featured in this new gallery. She is a "momma's girl," loves to snuggle with her at night, and loves her "bird-on-a-string" toy.

Hijatcheler:

Tuxedo’s are NOT a breed, but a color pattern in cats. To learn more about the difference, read this article.

The tuxedo color pattern got its name from the similar appearance of the cat: white bib, “gloves,” and “spats” against a sleek black coat.
