In 1880 the King of Siam gave two pairs of Siamese cats to the English consul-general in Bangkok, and he brought them home to England, where they created a sensation. Their popularity zoomed rapidly and although the breed standard has changed significantly over the years, Siamese remain high in popularity for people looking for a pedigreed pet. Whether your tastes run from the Traditional to the modern version of the Siamese, these pictures represent exotic looking Meezers in all their glory.

You may submit photos of your own pedigreed cat (AKA "purebred") of any accepted breed, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page. Pet and rescue photos are also most welcome. Be sure to write a paragraph or so about the cat, and use "Photo-(name of breed)" as the subject of the email. Pictured here is Mickey, from "down under," one of twenty new Meezers added this week.
