Chucky's Happy Ending

Wednesday June 18, 2008
Chucky was a four month old tuxedo cat rescued by H.A.L.O. in the eastern suburbs of the California Bay Area. Unfortunately, he had a badly crushed leg. Chucky was my first Cat of the Week in May, 2008, and a reader saw his photo, which also appeared in the May Tuxedo Cats Gallery, and became interested in this spunky young kitten. Al got in touch with Verlene Leonardo at H.A.L.O. about adopting Chucky, despite the 1,350 mile distance, and was undaunted when later informed that Chucky's leg had been amputated.

Follow this long-distance happy ending story, complete with photos of Chucky in his forever home.

Don't forget that June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month. Please consider adding a special needs cat such as Chucky, or an older cat to your family. You could write your own Happy Ending story and reap the kind of rewards Al is enjoying with Chucky.

What a great looking cat no wonder he was adopted. My oqn cat has a ear missing and i don’t even notice it any more and i guess that what will hapen for chuckys owners, they will just see him.
