Profile: Tabby's Place

Tuesday July 8, 2008
Jonathan Rosenberg is living the dream of many people involved in rescue: he is the founder and President of Tabby's Place, a sanctuary for cats who were once on death's row, cats that were destined to die because they were too sick, too old, had "bad" temperaments, or were otherwise deemed unadoptable.

I challenge you to make a virtual visit to Tabby's Place and come away without wanting to help, by sponsoring a cat or donating. I was sure unable to do so. Here is Charlie, the cat I chose to sponsor originally. Charlie, a semi-feral, has FIV, but eventually, miraculously, someone recognized his lovable qualities and adopted him. I now send a monthly donation, giving Tabby's Place the authorization to spend it where it is most needed. In return, I get a monthly update one one of the special needs cats, along with daily warm fuzzies, knowing I am doing something to help. I guarantee it, the rewards of sponsoring a special needs cat are priceless.

Founded on a dream, managed with sound principles, by selfless staff members and volunteers, and a dedicated board of trustees, Tabby's Place is truly the epitome of a cat sanctuary. Jonathan Rosenberg could not have chosen a higher tribute to his Tabby, and Tabby's legacy of love will live on forever in Tabby's Place.

I would love to live in your area and work at Tabby’s Place caring for the cats. Nothing would please me more. Bless all of you for helping these wonderful little creatures that need help. They are so blessed to be loved and cared for my such wonderful people as you are.
