Q1 2008 Cat of the Year Runoff Winner: Weebles

With apologies to runners-up Gracie and Maksimilian, after the first few days of voting, the results are not surprising. Weebles is a beautiful kitten (kittens always have an edge), and her story of indomitable courage in the face of her neurological condition resulting from panleukopenia clinched it for the majority of the readers. Leann's final comments were, "This little cat has been a joy, and a wonderful symbol to all of us. She is a case study of making the best of what you've got, and thoroughly enjoying what life has given you." Amen to that.

In the final analysis, Weebles captured 57% of the vote, with the runners-up roughly tying around 20% each. Congratulations to all of our semi-finalists, and congratulations and thanks to Leann Henshaw for sharing her Weebles with us.
