I have always had a soft place in my heart for men who love cats, probably because I was married to one for 50 years. There is something very special about these men who are not afraid to bridge conventional prejudices and speak out for these special animals. Perhaps it is because they see the same quality in cats that they possess: comfort in their individuality. They may come from many different walks of life. You'll see PhDs and truck drivers, surgeons, carpenters, and chefs, but one thing they all have in common: They are all real men. Pictured here is Chip with his cat, Philly. If you want to know how a man’ll treat you look to how he treats a cat. If he treasures them he’ll treasure you too. (Not just if you get up to give the kitties breakfast and him a first cup of coffee.)
I don’t have a good picture to share but my hubby took over the bottle feeding of our two orphan kitties when I had to go out of town on business for two weeks back when they were babies. He made a great nanny! Now that they are grown he showers them with affection and really enjoys spending time with both of them! This from a guy who for 30+ years of our marriage has been a dog person.
My husband never knew he could bond with cats until I brought home my 3 adorables. He bonds better with the male, so do I
