Happy Birthday Tabby's Place
On Sunday, October 6, 2008, Tabby's Place celebrated five years of caring for "death row" cats with special needs, five years of rejoicing when a blind, disabled, or diabetic cat was adopted, five years of sad times when one beloved resident cat or another finally left for the Bridge. After Jonathan Rosenberg's treasured companion, Tabby, passed on, he envisioned such a place. From 1999 until October of 2003, Jonathan poured blood, sweat, tears, and his own funds into establishing his dream, which has taken form with Tabby's Place, a sanctuary for cats no one else wanted.
Jonathan, his staff, and volunteers, have put together a wonderful 5-Years Newsletter Celebration, which I know you will love. The adoptions stories are especially heart-warming, and I was touched to tears by the photo of a special brick in the walkway to Cherney's Garden .
Please join with me in rejoicing, thanking, and congratulating Tabby's staff for this amazing accomplishment.

Thank you for posting this, Franny. I read over the newsletter and fell in love with Anastasia. She looks so much like my darling Dulcie, who also had IBD, that I immediately decided to sponsor her in Dulcie’s memory.
Good for you, Louann! Anastasia is a precious cat, as was Dulcie.
The newsletter brought tears to my eyes. The staff and volunteers are doing a wonderful job, giving every cat a chance of happiness. I lost one of my cats to megaoesophagus aged only 15 months. Despite his illness, he was a purry, happy and loving little fella who charmed everyone he met. I’m so glad that we had him, even for such short time. The people at Tabby’s Place are angels for caring for all the unwanted cats and trying to re-home them. I hope people don’t overlook cats with health problems because I know from first hand experience that they have so much love and joy to give.
When I opened Jonathan’s 5th Anniversay Newsletter I had to stop and think - my goodness - 5 years already. I remember very well that bright sunny October Sunday that we attended the grand opening of Tabby’s. It was wonderful then and even more wonderful now. Tabby’s exudes love as soon as you enter the front door. Jonathan and his staff deserve many kudos. Our favorite cat was Corey. We visited him many times and he loved his admirers. I cried when he went to the Rainbow Bridge but I know someday we will see him again. Hopefully Jonathan and Tabby’s Place will enjoy many, many more anniversaries
Many Blessings to Jonathan and everyone at Tabby’s place. Your 5th anniversary newsletter is awesome as well your dedication to the quality of life for the cats at your shelter. With all of the craziness going on in the world, it seems like respect for all lives, human and animal is at an all time low. I just want to say thanks to protecting and loving these little souls!
