Adopt a Senior Cat This November
The ASPCA has designated November as "Adopt a Senior Pet Month." What better time of year to enrich your home with a grateful "pre-loved" cat? November is also the time we pause to give thanks for our blessing. What a wonderful way to share our blessings, by giving a new home to an older cat. Shelters are full of senior cats left there because their companions (often seniors themselves) are no longer able to care for them. In these troubled times, other people have abandoned their cats because of foreclosure or eviction. What a sad ending for cats who have given unqualified love all their lives! Please read the linked title article, then see if you can find a place in your heart for a needy senior cat. To those who have adopted older cats, I'd love to read your adoption success story. Please send it to me with a photo of your wonderful feline senior citizen. Please follow the Photo Submittal Guidelines, and Use "Senior Cat Adoption Story" as the subject of your email. Pictured here is Puss, 16 years old when this photo was taken.
