Cat Picture of the Week: Rusty
Rusty is my baby girl. She is nine years old and the light of my life. Rusty has the sweetest disposition of any cat I have ever known. She has had her picture featured twice in our local newspaper in the local pet photo section. She is very social; in fact my dad insists that she is part dog. She will greet anyone at the door and as long as you pay attention to her, she will "allow" you to continue to pet her, pretty much until your arm is ready to fall off! Rusty is very much a huntress. The only thing she gets to hunt these days is her toys. She loves to sit high up in her perch and watch the birds on our front lawn.
I adopted her from the local ARC, she had been abandoned and living on the streets for just under a year; a local woman had been feeding her, but wouldn't adopt her; the local woman's loss is my gain. Looking at Rusty's sweet face, how can someone not love her? Needless to say, she is a much beloved family member.

Rusty's sweet face was irresistible to me, too. And Janet did an excellent job of profiling the history and personality of this lovely tortie girl. My Cat of the Week photos are chosen from general cat picture submittals, but only from those which comply with the Photo Submittal Guidelines.
