2008 Tortoiseshell Cats Picture Gallery

Saturday November 29, 2008
Tortoiseshell cats are so reminiscent of fall-colored foliage, that we traditionally celebrate torties in November, when fall is in full fling. Today, it's foggy and overcast here, but I imagine in parts North and east, colorful leaves are piled in stacks like tortie kittens. Tortoiseshell cats, like their sisters, the calicoes, have spunky, sassy personalities - what we often describe as 'tortitude.'

This gallery has been recently updated with a number of new tortie cat photos, and I'll continue to add to it through the end of the month (which is tomorrow, in case anyone is keeping track.) Enjoy these colorful tortie pictures, and if you are lucky enough to share your home with one, you may submit your photo also. Please comply with the Photo Submittal Guidelines. I'm sorry but I can't accept photos sent without all the necessary information.

My Tika is a ‘tortie’ and quite gentle and beautiful.
