January Blue Cats Picture Gallery

Sunday January 4, 2009
Although December marks the start of Winter, January epitomizes that season with snow, sleet, and ice. The color of the month for January is silver and solid blue cats, reflecting the colors of icicles hanging from the roof, frozen ponds, and the cool blue color of the sky.

We have several new additions to our January blue cats, all toward the front of the gallery. Bluebarry, pictured here, is one of the latest additions.

You may submit your pictures of blue cats by following the Photo Submittal Guidelines. Please Note: Blue tabby pictures will be saved for the March Tabby Cat Picture Gallery. The best known solid blue cats, of course, are the Russian Blue and British Shorthair breeds, (the latter comes in other colors too) but this gallery is by no means limited to pedigreed cats.

I’d like to congratulate Lance on the upcoming 22nd birthday of Baby. She has obviously been well loved and cared for, and I’m sure she has given as much love in return. Baby is beautiful, and looks like my Misty Blue, who I also call Baby.

Dee, I have mixed emotions in reporting that a couple of years ago, Baby went to the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 25. Lance indeed does deserve congratulations. He has a magical way with cats and his love for all creatures of this world is huge, as is his heart.
