Review: Petmate LitterLocker Plus

Tuesday September 15, 2009
I've been using the Petmate LitterLocker Plus for several years since I first reviewed it. It is a godsend for managing litter box scoopings without the odor and hassle of paper or plastic bags. Although I initially had problems understanding the assembly instructions, after repeated usings, it comes naturally now. All I have to remember is when facing it, to turn the handle toward, rather than away from me and it works like a charm. The distinctive "click" lets me know that the unit is ready and waiting for the last time. I particularly like it used in conjunction with the Breeze Litter System, because the scoopings include very few pellets, which makes the Litter Locker bags last longer. Please read my review, then write your own review in the form included on my review.

So nice to know that i have been doing something right for my cats as i see here that you not only use the Litter Locker but also the Breeze Litter System!! BOTH are a Godsend. I have two young male cats in a two bedroom apartment and both of these helpful systems keep litter box odors in check! And the supplies are not any more expensive than traditional cat litter box systems. Thanks for the article and tips!

I had to put mine away, when I added 2 more rescues to my little herd. It’s great for 2 or 3 cats, but with 5 cats & 6 litter boxes, it’s constant changing the litter locker. I’m now double bagging a lidded trash can and scooping into that.
I WISH THEY WOULD MAKE A LARGER VERSION!
