National Veterinary Technician Week
Veterinary Technicians are the backbone of many busy veterinary clinics, and without them, many of our cats would not receive the excellent veterinary care they need and deserve.
I know a couple of vet techs: Jenna Stregowski, About.com Guide to Dogs, and kahluadanes, a member of the About.com Cats forum, and other forums on About.com. I would not hesitate to ask either of them their opinions on health matters of my own cats.
I need to make vet appointments for my cats this week, and I'm going to make a point of thanking the vet techs for all they do for my cats. I hope my readers will do the same. If you are a vet tech, you may share the story of your career working with dogs and cats in your very own article here on the About.com Dogs site.

I wish the vowels understood how much the Vet Techs at our clinic adore them. The techs are so kind to them, and in fact one of them is now my cat sitter. I’ve yet to meet a tech at the clinic to which we go that has been anything other than lovely to my cats.
