Cheap Thrills: Homemade Cat Entertainment
Amy Shojai's sub-title says it all. She knows, as do most folks who have been around cats for any length of time, that cats are often more thrilled with the boxes cat toys came in than the sometimes expensive merchandise that was packed within. They are indeed cheap thrills, as are many homemade cat toys. My Jaspurr, pictured here, loves to be dragged around the room in his "boxtop sled," as long as a willing human is available to do the dragging.
Amy doesn't just stop with boxes. She gives readers another six ideas for homemade toys that are not only fun, but also useful for behavioral re-training. Then she tops it off with instructions for a clever ladder cat-tree. Be sure to read Amy's full article. You will be able to save some hard-earned cash and your cats will love you for it.
