April's feature gallery will celebrate Adopted Shelter Cats, as in last year. The gallery should be online in the next few days, but I couldn't wait to share my first Cat Picture of the Week. Vickie shares her remarkable story:
This little girl was found in the street all by herself. No mama or siblings. A passerby took her to a local cat rescue shelter, Miss Kitty's Cat House, and they took her to the vet who said she was 3 weeks old and healthy. We had been thinking about getting a cat for a while (even though we swore we would never get another one after losing our Mercy two years previously at age 19-1/2).
We called Miss Kitty's on New Year's Day 2009 and asked about looking at their cats (we had no intention of getting a kitten) and said we were looking for a tabby with ear tufts. Miss Kitty's said we have one just like that! So we made an appointment Read Baby's full story.
