Most cat owners will agree that almost nothing is more stressful, both for the cat and its human, than trying to stuff a cat into a crate for a veterinary appointment. Just imagine how that cat would react to a veterinary emergency or an evacuation because of a fire or other disaster.
Amy Shojai, CABC has created a great new list of 10 tips for training a cat to a crate. Some of the tips are so logical that you may wonder why you'd never thought of them. (Think Feliway spray and yummy cat treats.) If you diligently follow the crate training schedule Amy has outlined, I can almost guarantee that your next vet visit will be much less stressful for both of you.
