Lucky Black Cat is Best Friends' 100th Special Needs Adoption this Year

By , About.com Guide   July 23, 2010

Follow me on:

Johnny is a gorgeous fluffy black cat with big golden eyes, who just has one problem: he is neurologically damaged, which makes for an interesting gait. As Best Friends tells it, "Not that it gets him down any. He just gets to take in more sights whenever he crosses a room."

Johnny came to Best Friends Sanctuary in Utah from a Northern Utah feral colony, along with a tabby sibling. His BFF at the sanctuary was Snuffles, also a tabby cat. It is thought that Johnny's mom might also have been a tabby, explaining his complete fascination with tabbies. Johnny now has a forever home, with Ross Beecher and Kelsey Green of Salt Lake City, Utah, Community College students whose idea of Spring Break fun is doing volunteer work. The nicest part of Johnny's adoption is that he will have a new playmate: a tabby named Oaka, at his new home. Way to go, Best Friends!
