Dateline Friday, 2-25-2011:Utah H.B. 210, ironically named "Animal Cruelty Amendments" was passed Friday with a 44/28 majority of votes. The final amendment added was to make the bill applicable only in areas where hunting is allowed, which helped qualm concerns that owned cats might be targeted for killing. According to the article in the Deseret News, "Before the vote, Minority Assistant Whip Brian King, D-Salt Lake, said he is concerned the bill provides a loophole for individuals who want to 'satisfy their own perverse sense' by killing animals for pleasure."
While I find this entire piece of legislation appalling, the most distasteful part of it is reports that a number of the legislators "meowed," while placing their votes. This is not a laughing matter for Utah cat lovers. I sincerely hope that they will give heavy consideration to keeping their cats indoors-only.

How in hell was a bill like this passed? I hope there are people still fighting it. Is there a petition or group website anywhere – I’d like to add my voice to the crowd on this one.
So, does this now mean that people can shoot and kill cattle and sheep that are on public lands? I mean, if no one is around to claim them, they look just like any other feral animal out there.
O M G What is this world coming to? Feral cats are not bad cats they have not been socialized with humane’ s. The feral cats need help. I have had several feral cats and they are so sweet after they know you are not out to hurt them.
How do you get a feral cat?
Some one moves throws out the cat because they don’t commit to them. The cat now goes into survival mood. The humane has not neuter or spayed them. So now the boom of cats appear. The little ones are now in fear of humane’ s. Because there was no humane touch.

I always love it when a useless cat-lover plays up the pity-party when talking about how their invasive-species cat suffers terribly no matter how it dies. But NOT FOR ONE MOMENT do they consider all the native-wildlife that died a slow painful death being mauled and maimed by their useless, disease-ridden, and destructive cats. Or all the wildlife that slowly starved to death because the cats destroyed all the prey-animal food that the larger wild animals used to eat.
Shooting is too good of a death for a cat. Too quick and painless. By ALL rights, to make things perfectly even, cats should have to suffer a long and lingering painful death as did all the animals that cats destroyed. But I’m not as inhumane as all cat-lovers and cats, that’s why ALL their cats on my land get shot and die instantly instead of tortured. (Perfectly legal to shoot cats on your land where I live.)
Don’t try to drum-up sympathy for how a cat dies. No matter how it dies nor how long it takes to die, it’s far far more humane than anything that you and your damnable cats have done to all other life on this planet.
Cats are a human bred and engineered animal. They are NOT native to any continent nor habitat on this whole planet. They have no more place out in the natural world than some genetically engineered insect that, if released out in nature, would devour all life in the countryside. Educate yourselves for once in your miserable cat-loving lives.

Here’s a little insight to help you with your war on cat-lovers and their cats. Now you’ll know why cat-lovers actually do what they do. Maybe if you explain this to them you won’t have to use more drastic means.
Human Territorial Behavior By Expendable Proxy
I have come to the inexorable conclusion that the vast majority of cat-lovers and cat-owners that let their destructively invasive-species roam free, and those that defend the rights for feral cats to overtake public property and wildlife areas, are only (cowardly) using cats as a proxy for their own territorial behavior. Not unlike uneducated inner-city youth that will disrespectfully and inconsiderately use a boom-box to stake-out a territory for themselves with loud music. As long as they can have one of their possessions defecate in another’s yard and the yard-owner not have any recourse to do anything about it, the cat-owner owns that territory. It’s time to put a stop to them using their “cute kitty” excuse for usurping and stealing others’ property. If they want territory they can damn well buy it just like anyone else–instead of using their underhanded, disrespectful, and manipulative means, putting (and sacrificing) live animals in the path of their envy and greed. Again proving why they don’t care about cats nor anyone else at all. Cat-lovers only really want your lawn, yard, or forest while making all others and all other animals suffer for what they can’t have nor own. Bottom line–they want to control you and your property. That’s all that “cat-lovers” are really after. It’s why they don’t care at all if their cat nor any other animals get harmed by their goals and (lack of) values in life.
