Based on questions I've received by email, I've created answers to some of the most common ones:
FAQ: How often can I vote?
Answer:Each user can vote once a day in each category, both on the cats site and on any other participating site on About.com. (See the Awards Categories link on About.com Readers' Choice Awards.) If you try to vote more often, you will get a notice that your vote wasn't counted.
FAQ:How are people prevented from cheating?
Answer: Every voter must be logged in either to their Facebook account OR to their member account at About.com.
FAQ:Why wasn't the (book, website, etc. I nominated in the finals?)
Answer:It is very unlikely that any book, website, or advocate group which received only one nomination would be chosen for the finals. We are looking for candidates with passionate followers.
FAQ: If I can only vote once a day, how else can I support my favorites?
Answer:It is perfectly legal, and we encourage readers to support their favorites by posting comments on the corresponding About.com blog entries; Writing "Vote for" posts on Facebook, Twitter, Google+and other social media. (The Twitter hashtag is #rcawards.) You can post on your own account pages or on your favorite candidates' pages where allowed. Be careful to follow the rules for the social media sites.
Please post any other burning questions about RCA voting in the comments section here. (Do not use this blog entry's comments to campaign, but go to the voting blog entry for that category.)
