Cat Names - What's in a Name?

We have always been pretty eclectic in choosing cat names for our cats, and more imaginative sometimes than at others. We've put together some unusual and imaginative names for cats, drawn from many sources; a very hot topic on the Cats Forum.

My own kitty, Shannon (now at the Rainbow Bridge), was named for the park he was found in, but he had the unusual distinction of also having a street named for HIM. Bubba was named for his personality, and he's lived up to it, big-time. Jaspurr, Joey, and Billy got their names for more prosaic reasons.
