The Costs of Responsible Ownership

Being a responsible owner of a cat carries with it certain financial obligations. If you are not in a position, or are not willing to meet these costs by sacrificing some of the things you enjoy, it may be better not to take in a cat at all, in your current situation.

On the other hand, perhaps you have always been a responsible caregiver, but have fallen on hard times. There's something here for you too, to help you over your temporary financial crunch.
