About Cat of the Week: Bonnie
Saturday February 24, 2007
This is Bonnie, sleeping under her favorite window.- © April Stanley
In keeping with the spirit of the poll last month about my Cat of the Week choices, February has included both white cats symbolizing this month and other colors too. I'm wrapping up the month with a particularly lovely photo. I really like the play of light on Bonnie's pristine white coat. Cat Pictures of the Week are selected from general photo submittals. (I do not accept photos submitted specifically for "Cat Picture of the Week.") Bonnie's picture will also be featured in the February White Cats Gallery.
You may send your own photo, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page. Be sure to write a paragraph or more about the cat, at the very least two or three sentences. Our galleries have space for 2500 characters, including spaces.

Bonnie looks like my Sneezer! He has been my best “little man” fuzzy friend for 13 years.
She is looks so sweet and totally innocent of the usual kitty antics. Wonderful photo showing off her lovely color.
Bonnie is beauty and she really looks cuddly~ ILU
Look at that beauty! Great picture too!
Beautiful cat, but I can’t help but want to take this opportunity to educate white-cat owners about the dangers of sun-exposure on their fair pets. I learned the hard way that white cats are at great risk of getting skin cancer when allowed to sun themselves, even indoors. If you own a white kitty, please be aware of this poorly-publicized health hazard.
Bonnie is beautiful, great pick! Regarding the comment above about white cats and sun. I have heard that as well, many times because my white cat, Jack is always outside and loves the sun hitting his white coat. But, he will be 14 this year and we have never had a problem. Guess it just depends but always helps to be safe! Great picture!!
