Guide Review - The Klondike Cat by Julie Lawson

When Noah's pa caught the gold rush fever, Noah was compelled to smuggle his little cat, Shadow, aboard the ship that would take them to the Klondike Stampede. The rugged trip seems almost impossible by today's standards, but Noah felt equal to the task, as long as he had Shadow along. The cat had her own adventures as the story unfolds, which would play a part in the success or failure of the mission. There are plenty of surprises along the way, and the story, along with the rich illustrations by Paul Mombourquette, brings alive the history of the Alaska gold rush to readers both young and adult.
