Franny's Photo Album
Like any good host, the time inevitably comes around when we break out the family album. Here it is: pictures of the Syufy family cats, cats we are friends with, and even my little god-cat whom I adopted virtually in 1998. Bubba and his favorite purrson
Shannon was my own purrsonal buddy and he was a constant presence when I was working on my computer (which is most of the day). His shadow remains to forever inspire me in my work.
You've heard that saying about how you start to resemble your cat?
Buddies take a break. Bubba and Shannon were always good friends. Shannon was so mellow that he readily deferred to Bubba as "protector of the household," although Bubba always respected Shannon as Alpha Cat. Cats do have their own way of working out their hierarchy
This very content cat is Tiger, and belongs to my son, Asa. (Yes, there are two of them in the family.) I suspect Tiger was trolling for birds in the birdbath, but maybe he was just enjoying a day in the sun. That's Willow Lake in the background.
This guy is one of two twin orange tabbies who live next door to my daughter and visit her (fish) several times a week. They show up at her screen door and quite insistently ask to be let in to be fed. We first met them almost two years ago and they've grown quite a bit since then, thanks to their dual-dining routine. Sadly, their owners haven't seen fit to have either of them altered. We're trying to figure out a way to "catnap" them, and take care of it, but I suppose we'd be breaking the law.
This kitty is Tuffy, guard cat of my friend, Carole. About three months after her first cat was killed (see the following page) a feral mother had kittens in her yard. It took several weeks, but Carole was able to trap all the babies and find homes for them. She kept Tuffy for herself. This photo knocks me out!
We've added three new members to our feline household since Shannon departed for the Rainbow Bridge. They have their very own photo albums with a bit of their history.
