Jaspurr and Joey's Baby Book

GuideKittens' Photo Album - Page 1

Welcome to the "baby book" of Jaspurr and Joey, the newest furball additions to our household, and official GuideKittens to the About Cats GuideSite. The J-Boys were born on February 20, 2002, and came to their "forever home" on April 7th at approximately 6.5 weeks, a very happy day for all of us. We're pleased to share these photos of our kittens (who can resist kitten pictures?)

You can click on any of these thumbnail kitten photos to see larger pictures.

Jaspurr and Joey at four days old. These photos were emailed by Wendy, who was the "rescue person" we were in contact with. The kittens were still living with their mother cat and three female littermates in a home near Wendy. Photos © Wendy, used with permission.
Jaspurr and Joey with their sisters at nine days old on March 2, 2002 (their eyes had just started to open). These photos were taken the first time we visited them, a thrilling day after waiting so long. We called Joey "little gray guy" then, as we hadn't yet decided which kitten to adopt in addition to Jaspurr (I was sort of leaning toward the little dilute calico).
Our second visit on March 9th. It was right after this visit that we decided Joey needed to be our kitty, and we needed him. We loved his angelic little face and his cunning white mittens and hip boots. It took us another couple of weeks to agree on a name for him, and Asa came up with "Joey," which was purrfect!
We were not to be able to visit our kittens again until the day we took them home, although we didn't know it at the time. Wendy was great at arranging to see them and take photos to send us so I could get my "kitten fix" and we could track their growth through photos. These photos were taken by Wendy on March 18th at four weeks. They're starting to look like real miniature cats!
