Guide Review - StopTrax

Like many other brilliant inventions, StopTrax was developed out of necessity, by a man who was tired of cleaning up the litter his kitten tracked from his box. It consists of a set of one-foot square grids of plastic which fit into a tray. The grids are designed to spread the toes of cats who step on the panel, thus allowing any stray litter between the toes to drop into the tray below. They are comfortable to the touch, and my cats did not seem to mind walking on them.

My problem was not only stray litter tracked away from the litter box, but also quantities of litter thrown from the box by overly-zealous diggers. StopTrax is extremely effective in eliminating this nuisance.

StopTrax is not particularly pretty, but neither are most litter boxes, which is why they are usually hidden away in out of the way locations. That it does its job much better than those cute mats sold for the same purpose is a big plus, in my opinion.

StopTrax is sold at cat shows, or can be ordered online direct from the manufacturer.
