Definition: Adj. Commonly-used term by lay people to describe pedigreed cats, i.e., cats whose ancestry can be traced sufficiently far back to qualify them as being representative of a given breed acknowledged by one or more of the breed registries. (Breeders prefer the term pedigreed.)
