Merlot and Chardonnay "Our kittens are called Merlot and Chardonnay, after a picture of them was taken in the wine rack! We had only had them a few days and they were still nameless. So after sending the photo out to friends, two separately replied with the exact same names! And that was it. We live in South Africa, and adopted our babies through Animal Action. They are sisters and were found in a street all alone. My husband, Daryn and I simply fell in love with them! Daryn was ill when we got them, so we spent the first 2 days together with them in bed. It was good bonding time for us all. After a mere day of having them he said to me 'I can’t remember life before them.' That's how happy they've made us! They love climbing the curtains and running around the house like hooligans, but they are so loving and when you sit on the couch they always come to cuddle with you. They love climbing in things, like the empty bath tub, my wooden bowl in the lounge, the cupboards, or an open drawer. We just have to be careful that we never shut them in a cupboard by accident.
