I am a volunteer at the Wayne Animal Shelter and I take pictures of all the animals for flyers, the website, etc. Some of the cats really pose for the camera and Butch is one of them. Butch has been at the shelter for over six months [as of April, 2007] and is really in need of a home. I am doing whatever I can to get their pictures out in public for a chance at adoption.

Butch is not just a pretty face. He's an absolute charmer and loves to be picked up and held. He is too, too cute! He loves people and deserves a good, loving 'forever' home.

Cats Pictures of the Week are selected from general photo submittals. (I do not accept photos submitted specifically for "Cat Picture of the Week.") Butch's picture was a general photo submittal, and will be used in the March Tabby Cats Gallery. I do hope someone who really needs a loving cat will consider adopting Butch.

You may send your own photo, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page. Be sure to write a paragraph or so about the cat, at least two or three sentences. Our galleries have space for 2500 characters, including spaces, so don't be afraid to tell us about your cat within those parameters.

Remember that not only the quality of the picture, but the care you take in describing your cat may make the difference in its being chosen as Cat of the Week!
