![]() Dewey, Photo © Our tuxedo cat's name is "Dewey." Notice the white tip on his l-o-n-g tail, his good condition and shiny coat. We adopted him and his blue brother from our humane society shelter, where the they had been brought in at 3 weeks of age. They and their two littermates had been home-fostered by a gifted shelter employee. This special care produced bold and wonderfully socialized cats, whom we met at the shelter when they were 5 months of age. Dewey is just over a year old in this photo. The boys are very active and loving. They also get into everything! They are not allowed to go out onto our property, but have full access to the deck built above the garage. From there is access to the flat roof, where they run around and play, and look out over the neighborhood and across the valley. Neighbors passing by are amused to see Dewey on the roof, two stories up, looking down. Cats Pictures of the Week are selected from general photo submittals. (I do not accept photos submitted specifically for "Cat Picture of the Week.") Dewey's picture was submitted for the Tuxedo Cats (May Calendar) Gallery, and will be added there also. I love his "bandit" mask and his shiny black "saddle-blanket." You may send your own photo, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page. Be sure to write a paragraph or so about the cat, at least two or three sentences. Our galleries have space for 2500 characters, including spaces, so don't be afraid to tell us about your cat within those parameters. Remember that not only the quality of the picture, but the care you take in describing your cat may make the difference in its being chosen as Cat of the Week! |
