Ripley is a Christmas gift to myself. I adopted her on December 19, 2003. She's the sweetest, most affectionate cat I've ever known, and she's famous for giving everyone (including the vet staff) headbutts. She loves to talk, and it's amazing how well we understand each other! Some people think Ripley's a lucky cat to be adopted, but I think I'm the lucky one to have such a wonderful pet and companion.

Cats Pictures of the Week are selected from general photo submittals. Ripley's photo was submitted for - and also will appear in the December Red Cats Gallery. This photo caught my eye the instant I saw it. Not only is Ripley a gorgeous female red tabby, but the composition and coloration of the photo are superb.
