We rescued this kitten from our local humane society...went there just to look not ever thinking I would be bringing a kitten home. I am not a HUGE cat lover but there was an instantainious connection with this kitten. She was the most beautiful kitten I've ever seen...We named her Versace because she was "classy" looking...like she knows she was all that...We called her "Sachi" for short. After loving her for 4 short months of her 6 month long life, I lost her due to some tainted food. She had to be put down with complete kidney/liver failure. She is my angel kitty now

Cats Pictures of the Week are selected from general photo submittals. (I do not accept photos submitted specifically for "Cat Picture of the Week.") Sachi's picture was submitted as a general submittal, and will later also be added to the Memorial Gallery. Sadly, Sachi is the first photo I've received of a cat lost to tainted food. My heart goes out to Brenda and the thousands of other people who have lost beloved pets due to this senseless tragedy.

You may send your own photo, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page. Be sure to write a paragraph or so about the cat, at least two or three sentences. Our galleries have space for 2500 characters, including spaces, so don't be afraid to tell us about your cat within those parameters.

Remember that not only the quality of the picture, but the care you take in describing your cat may make the difference in its being chosen as Cat of the Week!
