PITA

"PITA came to us as a stray about 5 years ago. He was about 6 months old then, all scrawny and hungry. We never wanted cats, but he was so pitiful, so we fed him some tuna and milk. That evening I tripped over him and received a bloody nose. The following day my husband tripped over him outside and fell into the flower garden. He said, "get rid of him, he's going to the pound!" Well, the following evening I came home from work, and there was my husband sitting in a lounge chair with PITA on his lap. My husband then said we could give him a week trial. So for the first few days we just kept calling him a Pain In the A.., hence the name PITA! So he is now 6 and he's my husbands buddy! He is a huge hunter and is also so loveable and personable."

PITA loves to hide in things like pots, sinks, and tubs. I'm seriously thinking of a new cats photo gallery called "Container Cats."

Cats Pictures of the Week are selected from general photo submittals. You may send your own great cat photo, using the guidelines on the Photo Submittal page. Be sure to write a paragraph or so about the cat, at least two or three sentences. Our galleries have space for 2500 characters, including spaces, so don't be afraid to tell us about your cat!
