Rainy Day Blues

Shannon Musing FRANNY HAS TAKEN TO HER BED WITH WHAT SHE CALLS 'THE COLD FROM HELL', SO I HAVE DECIDED TO HELP HER OUT AGAIN WITH SOME MUSINGS FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF MY AMAZING FELINE BRILLIANCE.

WHAT'S THAT? I'M SHOUTING AGAIN, YOU SAY? okay, how's this? you know it isn't exactly easy holding down that shift thingy with one paw while trying to type with t'other. i tried it and ended up slpffyING all over the keys. so you're gonna have to settle for one or t'other. the mouse--now that's another thing altogether. purrsonally, i like my mice in tacos like this one, which i think i got from kcc's nipfest last year. but then again, it might have come from chez fungus, home of food extraordinaire. anyway, where was i? ohhhh, the mouse, that hard little thing with the very long tail. well, i forgot what i was going to say except i don't think it would make a very good taco.

it's raining outside--cats and dogs, as the humans are fond of saying. i think, however, that any self-respecting cat would save himself the indignity of being anywhere near water, which is falling in copious amounts today. i made up a poem about the rain:

i think that i shall never see
a raindrop lovelier than me
i will be a happy camper
safe inside where its not damper
i was endowed with feline brain
to stay indoors out of the rain

i've noticed franny is smart enough to stay out of the miserable stuff, altho my other human bundled up to do the weekly shopping. i think that's what humans call 'love', because he knows she's sick and I'M OUT OF FUD. cat fud, that's what they call the stuff they give me. frankly, i think FRISKIES SPECIAL DIET beats the heck outta chasing mice, which seem to get faster as i get older.

speaking of getting older, i wish franny would stop worrying about me. i may like to sleep a little longer, but i've still got a lot of spunk and another 4 or 5 lives left. oh well, that's what humans are for, i guess. worrying, so we cats don't have to. that way we can attend to the more important tasks, like sleeping.
