Profile: Diabella Loves Cats

Diabella Loves Cats, and when you have visited her site in its entirety, you will appreciate the truth of that statement. We first met Diabella when featuring "Ginny, the Dog Who Rescues Cats". Ginny is not only the subject of the book by the same name, but a real dog who has rescued hundreds of cats over the years. Diabella searched until she found Philip and Ginny, and has been instrumental in rounding up funds to help them continue their amazing work.

Diabella (whose name is Diane) has devoted several years to helping the King's Highway Rescue organization, and her contributions to that group are unmeasurable, but so is the return on her investment, in the knowledge that she has helped placed otherwise doomed cats into permanent loving homes. KHCR is Brooklyn's only rescue/no-kill shelter, and is always in need of funds. Or, if you live in the area and have room in your heart and your home for one more cat, look at the ads, and consider an older cat while you're at it. The younger kittens go more quickly, but adopting an older cat can be much more rewarding.

Diane started rescuing cats in the 60s and continues to this day, through her volunteer work with Philip and Ginny, KHCR, and more recently, New Yorkers for Companion Animals (NYCA). NYCA is the only group in New York rescuing cats from the CACC, which euthanizes 100 cats every day. NYCA does not have a shelter, but accomplishes its fine work through 10 foster volunteers, who care for the rescues while seeking out permanent homes. If you live in the area, they desperately need more volunteers, and of course, donations. If you're thousands of miles away, you can still help by displaying their graphic on your web site with a link to: http://members.xoom.com/_XOOM/diabella/nyca.htm.

In addition to dozens of pages promoting cat rescue and other causes, Diabella has generously provided visitors a new section of beautiful and unusual Cat Calling Cards, including a Tribute graphic that she will personalize for you. Please read and honor the terms of usage. These graphics will not only enhance your own cat site, but contain messages for promoting animal welfare causes such as "Give an Older Cat a Second Chance".

Diabella's web site reflects her spiritual beauty with its soft colors, unforgettable graphics, and gentle background music. Yes, Diabella truly loves cats, and we suspect you'll love Diabella.
