About: Catalina Island Cats - Web Site Review

Linda Garvey is a dynamo of a woman, running her own Cable television program, producing videos, and maintaining the web site of Catalina Island Cats. Oh yeah, and she rescues kittens and sponsors other rescue groups on the side. Linda may live on an island, but her heart is as big as the globe.

Linda and her husband John moved to Catalina Island in 1981, and soon found themself thrust into community life. Linda and John brought five aging cats and a dog with them, but as these companions went to the bridge, they never seemed to run out of cats. Their family just kept growing and growing.

Linda has been involved in the no-kill movement for several years. She and John sponsor two cats and a dog at the Living Free Sanctuary, which is a story in itself. The Garveys and the Catalina Island cats also sponsor two cats at Argyl Animal Aid, 6,000 miles away, in Scotland.

With huge hearts like theirs, it's no wonder Linda and John have so many friends. We're convinced you'll like them as much as we do, and you'll want to spend hours on their site! (Tell them I sent you.)
