"Aramis was my loving son. Always affectionate and patient. My favorite thing
he would do when sleeping with me. If I rolled over to change positions from
the right side to the left, Aramis would always move with me to be sure to
be as close as possible. I lost him to Kidney Failure after 18 years."
Aramis' memorial was requested by
Boni Nash, who misses him very much.
"Kitty and Smokie were brothers
born 8/16/77. They came into my life at the start of my marriage
(11/77), just before my son was born. From the moment my son came, Kitty
voted himself his person... He was the protector. He would sit by the
hour under Charlie's basinette guarding. They had a close relationship
for the rest of his life. Kitty died 9/98, just after his 21st birthday
of CHF, due to kidney failure.
Smokie was my all-time favorite kitty. He claimed me as a kitten and spent his whole life by my side. Smokie was a kultz, he couldn't even walk across carpet without tripping. I remember him and Kitty playing chase, and Smokie would always wipe-out. He even fell head-first into an empty bucket. But that's all I would have to do is call him, and he would be on my lap purring. He died 7/5/98, just before his 21st birthday. He was attacked by a foster dog and killed. The pain of losing him is still there, as well as the guilt for letting that dog come into my house." Kitty and Smokie were loved companions of Michelle, a popular forums member.
Munchkin is also one of Michelle's Rainbow Kitties. "Munchkin came to me as a 5 week old kitten. I only kept her a few days
when I found her a home, but they didn't want to keep her, and returned
her to me. She was born 12/81. Munchkin was a bit of a loner. As she
got older, she got more affectionate, especially the last 2 years of her life.
She had to be euthanized in 10/98 due to a megaesophagus and mammary
cancer."
Archie was a true gentleman cat and went to Rainbow Bridge in 1997. His human companion, Christine, says, "Yes, he was beautiful, 16-1/2 pounds until he became ill. I adopted him from the Denver Dumb Friends League when he was about 10 months old. He was the light of life, and a true kindred spirit. No
cat I have now, loved though they are, or will have in the future can mend the broken place in my heart."
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... This section will always be "in production," and your tributes to your own Special Cats are encouraged. It is always difficult to say "goodbye" to a cherished friend, and a tribute is one way of easing the pain while saluting the cats who bring so much happiness to our lives. You may submit your photo and tribute using the guidelines on the photo submission page.

Max is another Rainbow Kitty of Michelle's, who remembers him fondly, "Max was found in 10/92 just before Holloween. We had a snowstorm and
someone threw a kitten into a snowbank in front of my house, and my son
found him almost frozen. Soon after arriving, we discovered he was
blind. But that didn't stop him. He could get around with no problem,
finding even the top of the refrigerator!! Max had to be euthanized in
6/00, when he developed a neurological problem that lead to constant
seizures."
