Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

Kisses was her name. She lost a tuff battle to pancreatic cancer but never lost her smile or affectionate ways about her, she was found in the street in 1991 and was pregnant at the time (of course I found out the hard way). She will be missed and never forgotten, for 10 years she brought me nothing but happiness and had given unconditional love. Goodbye Kisses I'll always Love You.
(Kisses tribute is by Michael, her friend and rescuer.)

Tinkerbell

Tinkerbelle was Brenda's kitty. "He was a stray my family took in and he lived a full and happy life. He was 21 years old when he went up to kitty heaven. He was the most lovable cat that I have known he always wanted to be petted and held and cuddled. I miss him a great deal. It was Sept. 20.1999 when he died due to having cancer. He is still sadly missed to this day."

Missy

Missy is another Rainbow Kitty of Missanda, a popular forum member, who remembers her: "Missy is the cat who chose me. I really wanted her sibling, but Missy was the one who cuddled against my cheek, purring, and who said she had been looking for me her entire life. She never stopped telling me that, and made sure that everyone knew she was MY cat. For 10 1/2 far too brief years she brightened my life, until a blood clot took her from me. In spite of three new, very loved kitties, the light never has come back as bright, and I doubt that it ever will. Missy is VERY much missed."

Ben

Ben  "Aunt Penny" wrote, "I suddenly felt a need to phone a good friend' and I did. BIG SIGH. Her feline furbaby "Ben" was set free of his pain on Thu. March 1st. I have a picture of him that I took on New Year's Day (Jan 1, 2001). He LOVED HIS AUNTIE PENNY one of the only humanoids he came out to greet. [I'm Penny by the way] Loved very much by your Auntie Penny and hope you'll have great romps on the Rainbow Bridge with your canine brother 'Rupert'. We had a special bond..and I'll miss you."

Charlie

Charlie  Yvonne wrote, "Charlie recently passed away after 15 happy years with us. He was a sweet, shy boy, but loved being outside and would roll on his back, bellyside up, even in front of strangers. He became blind in his old age but he could still track a small insect or sense a bird fly by the window. Occasionally, I still "see" him out of the corner of my eye."

Nerny

Nerny  "Sadly, we lost our little Nerny just after Thanksgiving due to complications following a tail injury. In the short 3 years we had him, he was referred to as our little orange ball of sunshine. He was an excellent mouser, and play-fighter. He was a great foot heater, and his favorite pass-time was getting a massage from a brookstone handheld massager." He deeply missed by Jenn C., and other members of the Cats Forum who grew to love him through Jenn's posts.

Truman

Truman   "Our funny boy. One blue, 1 green eye and a true clown. He did goofy things like play in the potty, twirl on the office chair until he was dizzy, push his food into the water bowl before eating it, hang upside down from the sofa back... He vanished in 5 minutes last April 3, 2000, while doing his duty supervising the kids at the bus stop in our front yard. We miss him terribly and I still listen for him to come back and call at my bedroom window. Sometimes I will wake up in the night, sure I hear him calling. We miss you, Catnappurr." Truman lived a great life with Nancy Wood, and we know that wherever he is, he remembers her too.

George was another kitty who shared Nancy Wood's life. "My first cat, George Mamakitty. My daughter brought George home from the schoolyard one afternoon in 1986. We don't know what happened to her, but she had many broken bones and was in bad shape. I carried her around for weeks in a dishpan until she could get around by herself. She was the Empress of the Universe and fiercely loyal to both the kids and myself. She went to the rainbow bridge 5 days before Christmas, 1998. We love you, FirstKitty."

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

This section will always be "in production," and your tributes to your own Special Cats are encouraged. It is always difficult to say "goodbye" to a cherished friend, and a tribute is one way of easing the pain while saluting the cats who bring so much happiness to our lives. You may submit your photo and tribute using the guidelines on the photo submission page.
