Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

Miko and Max
Miko went to Rainbow Bridge in February, when she lost her fight with mammory cancer. I lost Max in late June. I believe he died of a broken heart because his best buddy of 15 years was gone. He developed a variety of illnesses in the time since Miko passed. They both touched my heart in ways I can't begin to say here for the last 15 years, but they will remain in my memory forever and I love them both so much. I will always miss them.
I would appreciate you "memorializing" them on your website. They were the best two cats ever!" Lynn Wood

Grady
was in sad shape when she was rescued along with her brother TomTom by Eileen Poole of Feline Companions about a year ago. It was said that both cats had fallen off a fire escape as tiny kittens, and both had fractures. After TomTom succumbed to FeLV (both had tested positive), Eileen had Grady tested again, and she tested negative. Grady had a happy year. She was sweet and affectionate, was accepted by the other special kitties, and well-loved by Eileen. Sadly, in April of 2000, Grady became crippled, to the point of being paraplegic. All the nurturing in the world couldn't save her (and she received plenty), and she went to Rainbow Bridge on June 22, 2001. All the loving people at Feline Companions miss this brave little cat.

Earl's human, Mel, wrote a eulogy for her kitty, who was recently lost:
EARL
October ?, 1984 - June 16, 2001
He was my soul mate.
He was my best friend (at times, my only friend).
He was my dancing partner.
He was my partner in crime.
He was my joy.
He was my exasperation.
He was my attitude.
He was my capacity to love.
He was my raison d'etre.
He is my fondest memories.

Pickwick totally captivated the heart of Missanda in only eleven hours, and then he was gone. She says, "I have been told that he wasn't really
my cat - that I didn't have him long enough to really love him. All I know is
that I will never forget him, and in the 20 minutes that I was waiting for
the tests to came back, I had envisioned him well, growing, and looking
more and more like Spock. I know I cried for him when I lost him, and I still
do cry for my poor wee boy. That may not be love, but I don't know what else
it could be."

Chulengo was another rescue kitty at BalletCat's small "sanctuary." BC rescued Chulengo and his sister Xiang Ni last July at her veterinarian's office. Someone had found the semi-feral kittens and dropped them off there. Chulengo went to Rainbow Bridge on May 11, 2001 and is missed very much.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
This section will always be "in production," and your tributes to your own Special Cats are encouraged. It is always difficult to say "goodbye" to a cherished friend, and a tribute is one way of easing the pain while saluting the cats who bring so much happiness to our lives. You may submit your photo and tribute using the guidelines on the photo submission page.
